Professor Feng Peng was awarded the XPLORER Award in 2022 for his achievements in composite material structures and intelligent construction. The XPLORER Award is a public welfare award funded by the Tencent Foundation and led by scientists. It is currently one of the highest funded talent support programs for young scientists in China. As a public welfare project led by scientists, the award adheres to the three principles of "focusing on the future, rewarding potential, and encouraging exploration.” This encourages young scientific and technological talents to explore the "unmanned area" of basic science and frontier technology as well as the continuous and stable investment mechanisms for social support of basic research talents.
